Dear Prayer Team Members,
Since our "Kick Off" meeting in January of 2005, many more have joined
the Journey of Faith Prayer Team. Welcome!! We
pray that this letter will answer questions you may have about what it means to be a part of the Journey of Faith Prayer Team. As you continue reading, you will find information outlining the following:
GOALS
As Journey of Faith Prayer Team Members, our goals are:
1) To ensure that the Journey of Faith Campaign and its Leaders, along with the Cove Ministry and Staff, are "bathed" in daily prayer.
2) To
plan and facilitate a church-wide Prayer Event on April 24th in conjunction with Baptism
3) To support
God's will that every Prayer Team Member be abundantly blessed by carrying out the mission of this Journey of Faith!
AGREEMENTS
There are only three AGREEMENTS one makes in becoming a Prayer Team Member:
1) To be available daily to pray for the Journey of Faith campaign
and all those associated with it;
2) To be available, as you are able, to support the church-wide Prayer Event; and
3) To communicate
clearly to the Prayer Team Leader(s) any questions, concerns or needs.
TOOLS & MATERIALS
As mentioned earlier, you are being provided with several tools (3) to
support your Journey of Faith prayer mission and to be certain that all members of the Leadership Team and the Prayer Team
have someone praying for them on a daily basis as we move through this campaign.
PRAYER TEAM CONTACT LIST
This spreadsheet contains a great deal of information about the following:
Ø
Prayer
Team: Member's
Name, Spouse, Prayer Partners, Contact Info
Ø
Leadership Team:
Member's Name, Spouse, Prayer Partner
Note: There
have been many changes to the Prayer Team Contact List since the Kick Off meeting; please discard any previous lists to avoid
confusion in the future.
Important: For reasons that are certainly
understandable, some people are cautious about sharing private information. Prayer
Team Members present at the Kick Off meeting agreed to share their information with other Team Members in order to facilitate
communication during the campaign. It is extremely vital that you do not use,
share or distribute this information for any reason other than that for which it was intended – the Journey of
Faith Prayer mission! Please honor the trust that you have been given.
An email containing contact information for Leadership Team "Partner(s)
Through Prayer" will be sent separately to each Prayer Team Member.
MONTHLY PRAYER CALENDAR
Monthly Prayer Calendars
will be published to this website. On each day of the calendar, you'll
note that 2 names of Leadership Team Members (and their spouses, if applicable) are listed. In addition to these names, you may also see noted (in red)the listing of one or more Events occurring
in conjunction with the Journey of Faith campaign. As Prayer Team Members, you
will use the Calendar to offer additional prayers for those whose names are listed -- as well as for those who are leading
any events that are scheduled for that day.
Let's take the following example: On April 4th, Prayer Team Member Kelly Beheler…
Ø will pray, as usual, for his Leadership Team "Partners Through Prayer", Rick
& Lori Carney.
Ø will pray, as usual, for his Prayer Team Partner, Jason Hamilton.
Ø will look at the Prayer Calendar
and say additional prayers for Leadership Team Members: Greg & Stacey Antisdel and Dee & Doug Neal
Ø will pray that all goes well with the event listed on the Prayer
Calendar (in this case, no event is listed for April 4th).
Ø will pray for the Cove Church family.
DAILY PRAYER GUIDE
The Daily Prayer Guide has been put together to give you confidence that
you are covering "all the bases" as you pray each day. As you engage in conversations
with your Prayer Team Partners and your Leadership Team "Partners Through Prayer," you will know more specifically how to
pray and what to pray for on their behalf. The same will be true about our Journey
of Faith as you receive progress updates throughout the campaign.
In His Service,
Jack &
Mary Anderson
